What to expect from Therapy?
Therapy is the process of solving emotional problems by talking with a professionally trained counselor, to help you achieve a more fulfilling life and experience in your relationships. The process of change will be unique to you. Who you are will help determine the ways in which you go about changing your life. The process of change begins by establishing trust and safety with your counselor. We will set goals for therapy. Then you may discuss your memories, thoughts, and feelings. The willingness to talk about and experience help the healing process to unfold.
As the client, you have the right to ask your therapist any questions. A very important factor in the success of therapy is open and honest communication between therapist and client. Talking about your difficulties may exacerbate your symptoms, however the more open and honest you are the more benefit you will get from therapy. In addition, your counselor can teach you coping strategies and skills to deal with these difficult symptoms. If at any time during the therapy you have questions about whether or not the treatment is effective, feelings about something your therapist has said, or need clarification of our goals, please do not hesitate to bring this up in your sessions.

Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
